Will your WhatsApp campaign pay for itself?
Meta bills a WhatsApp marketing campaign per delivered message. Put in your audience, the message rate and your funnel, and this works out the cost, the orders, the return — and the conversion you need just to break even.
This is an estimate built from your numbers, not a measurement of your store. Orders are an expected value, which is why they can have a decimal.
How it is calculated
Nothing is hidden. Six steps, each one a multiplication or a division:
- Delivered = recipients × the share delivered.
- Messages cost = delivered × cost per delivered marketing message.
- Orders = delivered × the share who click × the share of clickers who buy.
- Revenue = orders × average order value.
- ROAS = revenue ÷ messages cost, written with one decimal. Cost per order = messages cost ÷ orders.
- Break-even conversion = messages cost ÷ (clickers × average order value): the share of clickers who must buy for the revenue to equal what the messages cost.
What it assumes, stated plainly
- That the rate you typed is the one Meta charges for every delivered message. Meta sets marketing rates per country of the recipient and changes them, so an audience spread across countries pays a mix. Check Meta’s current rate card; 0.0250 is an example.
- That only people who click buy. Some read the message and buy later without tapping the link, so a campaign usually sells a little more than this counts.
- That ROAS is measured against the message cost alone. It leaves out the cost of the products and of any discount in the message, so a high ROAS is not the same as a profitable campaign.
- That the click and purchase shares are yours. 15% and 8% are there so the page has a worked example, not because they are typical.

Questions
- How much does a WhatsApp marketing message cost?
- Meta sets the rate per country of the recipient and changes it from time to time, so check Meta’s current rate card for the countries you send to. The 0.0250 in the form is an example value, not a quote.
- What is a good ROAS for a WhatsApp campaign?
- We do not publish a benchmark, because we have not measured one across stores. The click and purchase shares in the form are examples. A ROAS above 1x only means the revenue covered the message cost; whether the campaign made money depends on your margin, which this calculator leaves out on purpose.
- Where does my data go?
- Nowhere. The arithmetic runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, stored, or needed to see the result, and there is no signup.
- Can Super Agent measure the real ROAS of my campaigns?
- Yes. Super Agent sends Meta-approved WhatsApp template campaigns to the audiences you save and reports the orders and the ROAS of each campaign. Meta bills the template messages directly to your own WhatsApp business account.
